Staying is only honorable when it still produces clarity.

That’s the standard most people avoid naming, because it removes the comfort of endurance. It forces you to tell the truth about why you’re still somewhere long after the learning has stopped.

Staying is not the same as commitment. It’s not proof of depth or a sign of maturity. Staying only works when it sharpens you.

Here’s how you know you’re actually staying, not stalling: your presence still requires intention. You are choosing the situation daily, not defending it to yourself weekly. You can articulate what the season is giving you now, not just what it gave you once.

The moment staying requires constant self-soothing, something has shifted.
