Yes!! I love the pants metaphor for audacity. And yes, this posture- the "the world should arrange around me" is genuinely puzzling to me because I come from the opposite side of the spectrum, but I see this posture out a lot. I am still learning that advocating for me can make someone uncomfortable, so I'm finding my own way to express this attitude.
Yes! And I think that’s the hardest part to unlearn: the idea that someone else’s discomfort means you’ve asked for too much. Sometimes they’re uncomfortable because they were benefiting from you asking for too little.
